Know Your Worth

When you settle for less you diminish your worth, you betray your values and you please others at the expense of your well being, you end up lowering your standards to accommodate others and it is not worth it.

At one time or another we all fall victim to settling for less than we deserve. You have the power to change and you do not have to accept mediocrity. No more sabotaging your happiness, no more settling for less, you know you deserve more than you are being offered, know when you are being devalued and learn to walk away.

Knowing how to value yourself is critical and here is why it's important to you’re your worth.

You can't expect people to respect you if you don't respect yourself.

If you want others to respect you for who you are, you have to first respect yourself. Nobody is going to respect you if you don't respect yourself, period.

Not knowing your worth might get you the wrong kind of relationships.

Girls being girls, we often fall for men who know all the right things to say to sweep us off our feet and this is where knowing your worth is so important. A woman who values herself knows how to guard her heart and not give it away or lose herself to just any man that comes along.

When you value yourself, you'll know how to say "No" to things that are not good for you.

Whatever the decision is a woman who knows her worth can put her feet down to say "No" to the things that are not good for her or the things that just aren't worth her time. When you know what you're worth, you'll also come to realize what you don't want or need in your life.

You don't need to seek assurance from elsewhere.

Having a good sense of self-worth enables you to affirm yourself and not turn to the wrong kind of things to make you feel worthy (i.e. alcohol, substance-use, wrong relationships, extreme diets etc.) Beauty comes from and emanates from within. When you love yourself, it shows from the inside out so find that assurance within yourself and the world will come to value you for who you are.

Self-worth brings about confidence.

Confidence is attractive. Confidence can also get rid negative attention because people will get the vibe that you're not one to be played with. So if you want to attract the right kind of people into your life, work on yourself, know your worth, have confidence and naturally, the right people will come along.

Most of all, knowing how to value yourself will help you to empower other women as well.

The beauty of realizing your worth is that it doesn't just stop there. Only when you love and value yourself then will you be able to help and empower the people around you. It takes a strong woman to help another woman out so don't devalue yourself. Instead, rise above. Rise above yourself, above your insecurities and don't settle for anything or anyone less than what you deserve because you are worth more than you think you are.
